Field Training Exercise Description:
The Field Training Exercise set was launched in 1976. It included a set of overalls in the same pattern as seen with the Red Devil Parachutist, only this time in an Khaki Green (or green on a separate card) colour with similarly treated later style badge. He came equipped with a field telephone, compass, SLR rifle and rope bridge. It seemed an ideal pairing for the Training Tower set available separately. The beret was the same type as the Soldier and later Tank Commander.

ACTION MAN FIELD TRAINING EXERCISE : Overalls, beret, boots, SLR rifle, compass, field telephone, rope bridge, belt, information leaflet. Equipment Manual.
Notes:
The Action Man Field Training Exercise outfit had a field telephone which is unique for this outfit and hard to come across. The SLR rifle had a plastic strap and the belt had no slider adjustment. The rope bridge was made form course twine and featured push-in plastic treads. The one in the images has replacement rope, but the treads are vintage. The figure shown in the pictures pre-dates this uniform by four years and is used for display only. The 'current' figure upon release was the flock haired Action Man with gripping hands.
