British Army Officer Description:
The British Army Officer was part of the 'Famous British Uniforms' range with its distinctive Union Jack packaging. Named 'The British Army Officer' in the Equipment Manual, It was named "Army Officer" on the packaging and "The British Officer" on the information leaflet its hard to define the correct name! It was launched in 1972 alongside the another 'non-ceremonial' uniform of the Royal Military Policeman. Details included the Sam Browne (cross belt and waist belt), an elasticated tie, and socks. An information sheet did not include instructions of where to place the 'pips' and 'crowns' on the accompanying sticker sheet.

34137:
ACTION MAN BRITISH ARMY OFFICER : Jacket, shirt, tie, socks, shoes, 'Sam Browne', baton, 'pips and crowns' sticker sheet, information leaflet. Equipment Manual.
Notes:
The Action Man British Army Officer 1st issue uniform was a heavier fabric than subsequent ones. The Action Man officer uniform also underwent differing colour and shade variations, probably due to a poor production regime rather than by design. As a result the shirt can be anywhere from brown to green. The cap is very common as it is found in many sets, and bears the skull and crossbones emblem of the Lancers. The baton is often missing because of its size. The 'Sam Browne' belt is fairly rare unbroken. The accompanying Action Man sticker sheet allowed the owner to cut out and apply a rank of their choosing. The 'current' figure upon release was the flock haired Action Man which was soon to gain gripping hands in 1973.
