Explorer Sledge and Dog Team Description:
Action Man was becoming less military, and more adventurous by the late 1960s. The Jungle Explorer, Polar Explorer and Mountaineer sets of 1969 were a new way of giving Action Man adventures without war at the forefront. The Sledge and Dog Team complemented the Polar Explorer of 1969:

ACTION MAN SLEDGE AND DOG TEAM: Sledge, 3 x Husky dogs, 3 x harnesses, 4 x supply boxes, rope, mileometer wheel, information leaflet. Equipment Manual.
Notes:
The Action Man Sledge and Dog Team was built for the Polar Explorer Action Man. It could be loaded up with the accessories associated with this figure, and indeed the Base Camp Set. It came with 4 lidded boxes ('Trans-Polar Expedition), numbered 1 to 4. These are similar to, and not to be confused with, the Jungle Explorer's Jungle Expedition boxes that only were numbered 1 and two and say 'Jungle Expedition'. The Husky dogs are hand airbrushed with paint and therefore no two are the same. The millimeter wheel at the back is often missing from this set.
