Action Man Assault Craft Description:
The very tough Action Man Assault craft was an ideal toy to take to water as it was super stable and had a working outboard motor which worked automatically when it was tilted down into the water. It was an ideal addition to the Action Man Commando set. A later SAS set featured an all-black improved version of the Assault Craft named 'Beachead Attack'.
Notes:
The Action Man dark green Assault Craft came with two black paddles with yellow tips. A single HP7 battery worked the green outboard motor (to the same design as the Explorer's River Craft) and a length of rope was tied to the front for mooring. The Action Man Assault Craft hull is one piece, with the exception of a rear rectangular slot-in panel on which hangs the outboard motor. It features in the 1971 Action Man Equipment Manual through to the 1979 Action Man Equipment Manual.
